We are happy to announce that Scott Thorson is settling in nicely here at The BunnyRanch. Scott is famous for being Liberace's ex-lover (Lee, as Scott fondly remembers him), as well as writing the book Behind The Candelabra, the inspiration for HBO's smash-hit movie, starring Michael Douglas as Liberace and Matt Damon as Scott.
Long story short, The BunnyRanch Ladies heard that Scott was in a local Reno jail and wanted to help. So Dennis arranged bail and legal aid for Scott, and he's staying with us! (You can read TMZ's coverage of Scott's bailout here.)
A few weeks ago, Scott, Dennis and Krissy Summers had a very successful promotion trip to New York City finding themselves on The Today Show, The View, Howard Stern, Artie Lange, Opie and Anthony and Joy Behar, as well as dozens of major radio shows across the USA.
"Scott is a great guy" says Dennis, "We were glad we could help him get on his feet and back into the media." There are even rumors of a second follow up book from Scott, which we will be happy to announce once we know more. Believe us, Scott has plenty of stories to tell!

The 4th of July will have passed by the time you read this, but here at The BunnyRanch it has special resonance for our way of doing business. Being the only state in America with legal prostitution, we are thankful for what it means to be free and to do what is right. We strongly believe that The BunnyRanch and all our other brothels across Nevada are the blueprint for how legal prostitution works. When Dennis traveled to Oxford University in England last year, it was to tell the international community that the best way to stop illegal prostitution is to make it legal and regulated. So Happy 4th from libertarian Nevada!
Mixing It Up For Pups!
It seems that come Summer-Time, we hold a Dayton Chamber of Commerce Mixer at one of our houses. Last year it was a great party at The Love Ranch North and this year it will be at The BunnyRanch in July. And, as always, we make a donation to a worthy community cause, which this year is Pups Up For Parole, a program where at-risk dogs are rescued from the Carson City Animal Shelter and trained as companion pets by our local correctional center. And it was your donations inside our parlor that helped make this happen. So we thank you for helping make our community better!

THE GREAT RENO BALLOON RACE
The Great Reno Balloon Race is the world's largest FREE hot-air ballooning event. Now in its 32nd year, the festival attracts nearly 100 balloons with up to 20 special shapes. Noted as one of Reno's most colorful and spectacular events, the festival is a permanent fixture on Reno's September skyline. Events include a Glow Show and Dawn Patrol providing an amazing spectacle as balloons glow and twinkle against the dark sky. In the unbelievable mass ascension, the skies fill with colorful balloons. Specialty balloon shapes scheduled to make an appearance this year include Party Panda, Wells Fargo's Cent're Stage, Hummingbird (who will be making her U.S. inagural flight debut) and Betty Jean the Butterfly. A variety of foods, crafts, art and souvenirs are available. Held at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park (just a few miles north of downtown). The Balloon Race has won many awards over the years including 'Best Special Event in Reno' and 'Best Special Event in Northern Nevada.'
