What Devon James and Paris Hilton Have In Common.

First Devon James: TMZ (Thirty Mile Zone) Entertainment broke the Devon James story. Ms. James is a former mistress of Tiger Woods and Dennis felt she �snitched� him out, therefore no coming back to The BunnyRanch. At one time Devon worked for us but no more. Finally on our news story where The BunnyRanch will support our local highways by adopting the highway corridor in front of our brothel. Seems that TV stations all over the country picked up on the story, from Denver to El Paso to Palm Springs to Baltimore to New Orleans, with also a special mention on CNBC�s Street Signs. Of course we do these things because it�s the right thing to do, but its nice to know the rest of the country agrees.
Enterprise in Crystal big boost to Pahrump.
Dennis Hof is sprucing up the two brothels he recently bought in Crystal and came to Pahrump last week to spend some money.
He did a good job of stimulating the local economy; buying $10,000 worth of new mattresses at Building 160 and dropping another $5,000 �on stuff at Walmart� a few days prior.
�We are spreading our money around here,� Hof said over a cup of iced coffee at Burger King. He�s a personable guy with a ready smile and a firm handshake.
�We will be spending $400,000 to $500,000 in our new location, including adding a new building in front of the two existing structures,� he explained. �We are trying to spend it locally, with local contractors. We�ve already hired local people to clean up the area.
�A lot of people stop me because they recognize me from our TV show,� said Hof. �I signed a few autographs in Walmart the other day.�
Hof owns two brothels just east of Carson City and his long-running reality show on HBO is set in his Moonlite Bunny Ranch, in Mound House. He is contemplating a new series located in Crystal, along the lines of an extreme cathouse makeover featuring the renovation of the existing brothel buildings. He mentioned partnering with Heidi Fleiss on the project.
�Can you imagine the tourists who will come through Pahrump to see our place in Crystal,� he said. �We are going to do our part to make the Pahrump area better.�
Hof said his organization, including his working girls, like to �give back to the community where we earn our living.�
He is well known for his generosity. In Northern Nevada his ranches have raised funds for many worthwhile causes, including building a dog park in Reno.
�We always have a collection box inside our ranches,� Hof said. �We ask our patrons to give us a few bucks for local causes and every six weeks or so we collect $500 to $2,000.
�People like to do the right thing. It is our way of helping and the girls love it.�
The Dayton Food Bank is a regular beneficiary of Hof�s clients.
�Our customers will support things we support,� he said. �We will continue to do that in Crystal. It makes the girls feel like part of the community.�
Hof plans to hold �a cathouse flea market� in Crystal soon to sell all the old brothel furnishings, such as lamps as well as various pieces of equipment. The proceeds will be donated.
�Out with the old and in with the new,� Hof said. He said the two current ranch buildings will be thoroughly cleaned and painted, needed repairs will be made and there will be all new furnishings.
�We want to go from where the places are now to a beautiful resort with 30 beautiful girls around the swimming pool,� said Hof. �It is going to bring attention to the Pahrump and Crystal areas. It will bring attention and it will bring money � People will move into the area.�
He mentioned that Rachel Ashwell, the widely popular and successful originator of the shabby chic decorating movement, will lend a hand with the decor of the Crystal brothels.
�We are aiming for a casual but elegant environment,� Hof said, adding that long-time staff who worked for former owner Joe Richards will have the opportunity to stay.
�Of course, I brought in my own crew, but there is enough work for everyone,� he said.

"DEATH CAR" EXHIBIT
The bloodstained and bullet-hole-ridden 1934 Ford Model 730 Deluxe Sedan which Bonnie & Clyde stole and eventually died in is on display along with the bullet-riddled light blue western-style shirt Clyde wore on the day of his death and other Bonnie and Clyde relics.
The exhibit is located inside the casino on the north side of the building and can be viewed 24 hours a day for free. The car and memorabilia are accompanied by historical information about Bonnie and Clyde and their death.

NEVADA DAY SALUTES "100 YEARS OF AVIATION IN NEVADA"
As the state with the largest formal celebration honoring its admittance into statehood, Nevada commemorate 146 years of statehood during the annual Nevada Day Celebration, October 29 - 31, 2010 in Carson City. The highlight of the celebration is the Nevada Day Parade. The theme for our 2010 parade "100 Years of Aviation in Nevada". Learn more about the this year's theme and Grand Marshal here. On October 30, 2010, the parade meanders its way down Carson Street from 10:00am to 1:00pm. The parade kicks off with a 8:00am hot air balloon launch on Carson Street (weather permitting ... keep your fingers crossed!), followed closely with a 10:00am flyover of F-18 Hornets, F-16 Falcon, from the Fallon Naval Air Station and C-130 Hercules from the Nevada Air Guard. The parade features floats, marching bands, and a variety of entertainment. The parade route begins at the intersection of William and Carson streets and ends at the intersection of Stewart and Carson streets. Awards in 35 categories are given including one for best float, best band, best mounted equestrian group, and best historical.
