  3. Harvard Tells Professors: No More Sex With Undergrads

If that car parked in Harvard Yard is a rockin', school officials may soon come a knockin', because hanky-panky between students and faculty at the elite university has officially been banned.

Specifically, the school adopted a new policy this week that prohibits romantic relationships between undergraduates and professors. The previous policy only did so between professors and the students they taught.

Harvard released a statement saying a specially appointed committee "determined that the existing language on relationships of unequal status did not explicitly reflect the faculty's expectations of what constituted an appropriate relationship between undergraduate students and faculty members ... therefore, the committee revised the policy to include a clear prohibition to better accord with these expectations."

The action comes nearly a year after the U.S. Department of Education announced it was investigating 55 colleges and universities, including Harvard, for violations pertaining to Title IX, the federal law prohibiting sex discrimination on college campuses.

Harvard responded at the time by saying it had appointed its first ever Title IX officer, and that the school's president "recently announced the creation of a university-wide task force -- composed of faculty, students and staff -- that will recommend how we can better prevent sexual misconduct at Harvard."

The new policy is the result of "a formal process to review Harvard University's Title IX policy," the school said.
  4. Sex Toy Injuries Increase Since 50 Shades Of Grey was Publis

The number of Americans requiring emergency room care for injuries involving sex toys has approximately doubled since 2007, according to data from the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Much of that increase happened in 2012 and 2013, following the release of the wildly popular erotic novels in the Fifty Shades of Grey series. And the overwhelming majority of these injuries -- 83 percent -- require "foreign body removals."

These injuries all involved what we'd think of as sex toys -- the full range you might imagine, and a few you might not. (Follow to the CPSC data and dig into product code 1610 for the full R-rated descriptions.)The figures are estimates from the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System, which is a nationally representative annual survey of hospital emergency room data, with an emphasis on injuries involving consumer products. Patient information is completely anonymized to protect privacy. According to the CPSC, it collects this data "to measure the number of injuries associated with the thousands of different consumer products in the marketplace."

The CPSC has tracked ER visits related to "massage devices and vibrators" going back to 1991. Until the early 2000s, there were a small number of these injuries each year -- hence, the lighter shaded bars in the chart above represent low-confidence estimates. But around 2003, the number of these injuries surpassed the agency's significance threshold, giving a greater degree of confidence in the numbers for the years after 2004.

In analyzing the data, I omitted incidents involving plain old run-of-the mill massage devices -- primarily people getting hurt by massage chairs at the mall, people burning themselves on heated massagers at home, and little kids putting back-scratchers in their mouths and jumping off furniture, injuring themselves in the process. These accounted for about 20 percent of the records in this product category.

The agency shares the demographics of this group of patients. The median sex toy injury victim is a middle-aged man -- 58 percent of the patients are male, and the median age among this group is 44. The women skew younger, with a median age of 30. The oldest man in the dataset is 85, while the oldest women is 67.

Most of the injuries aren't terribly severe, although some are. Seventy one percent of patients are treated and released, while 25 percent require hospitalization or transfer to a different facility. A handful end up refusing treatment. Some good news: none of the cases required assistance from the fire department, and there were zero deaths recorded.

Brief incident descriptions written by hospital staff provide a graphic and narrative arc to some of these cases. I won't quote them directly due to their frank and clinical nature, but they involve the whole range of mishaps that you might expect from such a variety of devices and contraptions.

There's no proof that the book caused the surge, but we probably can thank Fifty Shades of Grey, which featured bondage and other sex practices, for at least some of this phenomenon. The book, which has been read by tens of millions of people, and upcoming movie have been a boon to the sex toy industry. At Target, you can buy any number of 50 Shades-themed movie tie-ins. Market research firm IBIS World estimates that adult toys were a $608 million business in 2013, and credits the erotic novels with driving much of the industry's 7.5 percent year-over-year growth.

With sales rising and the use of sex toys becoming more widespread, it's only natural that a certain percentage of people will take things too far and require hospital care as a result. And with the release of the movie this weekend, it's likely that interest will only increase.

Mike Tyson Talks to Jimmy Kimmel About Having Sex With Hotel Maids Before the Buster Douglas Fight

You know how some boxers will refuse to have sex in the weeks leading up to a big fight because they feel as though it'll affect their performance once they step into the ring? Yeah, Mike Tyson didn't buy into that theory.

Last night, Iron Mike made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and, during the course of his interview with Jimmy Kimmel, he was asked about the 25th anniversary of his epic fight with Buster Douglas. Tyson laughed off the loss that he suffered at the hands of Douglas. But when Kimmel pushed him to explain the approach that he took to the fight, Tyson admitted that he could have been a little bit more focused. For example, he probably wouldn't have had sex with all of the hotel maids that he slept with in the days before the fight.

"I had to hit all the maids," Tyson said, before explaining what "hit" meant to Kimmel.

This isn't necessarily a new story. Tyson wrote about it in his book, Undisputed Truth. But Kimmel helped Tyson tell it in a new way. Watch the two talk about it in the clip above.

  9. Now Hiring For Brothel Tester

Because prostitution is legal in Germany it's only natural that there's a social network for the profession. The only thing missing is a Tripadvisor, and (which translates as "Buying Me") is hoping to fill both of those roles.

The website is currently looking to a hire a Berlin brothel tester for its "Quality Team." But don't think anyone willing to sleep around on the job can step into the position. Kaufmich wants a university-educated man or woman who has "practical experience of several years of brothel visits." The right candidate must also have a clean, neat appearance and health certificate, be communicative, and enjoy working with people (as well as in people). Fluency in German and another language (preferably French) is a plus.

"Having a brothel in Germany is totally legal but so far there is not a quality system for them in place," a project manager named Ben told CNBC. "Clients on Kaufmich should be able to check the quality of brothels before there go—like you check your hotel online before you book."

Ben also stresses that sex is only part of the job. The right candidate will have to test the service, cleanliness, and compliance of safe sex practices at the brothels, as well as the performance of its, umm, employees.

Around 150 people have applied, so you already have competition.

El Paso juvenile probation officer arrested on Sex Trafficking charges

EL PASO, Texas — A local juvenile probation officer, named in a superseding federal indictment unsealed Tuesday, remains in federal custody charged with sex trafficking a minor following his Jan. 17 arrest.

This case was investigated by special agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the FBI as part of the federal Anti-Trafficking Coordination Team (ACTeam).

Timothy McCullouch Jr., 28, an El Paso County juvenile probation officer, was arrested Friday by HSI and FBI special agents. He is charged in a superseding federal grand jury indictment, returned Jan. 15 and unsealed following his arrest, with one count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, and one count of sex trafficking a minor.

In addition to McCullouch, the indictment charges five El Paso gang members for their roles in the sex trafficking scheme: Deion Lockhart, 25, Brandon Shapiro, 21, Tai Von Lynch, 20, Richard Gray, 24, and Emmanual Lockhart, 23. All five remain in custody pending trial set for June 6 in federal court. Upon conviction, each defendant faces up to life in federal prison.

According to court records, the defendants were involved in the forced prostitution of juveniles and adults by the Folk Nation/Gangster Disciples street gang between May 2012 and March 2013. The defendants used a combination of force, fraud and coercion to compel their victims to have sex for money in El Paso and Killeen, Texas; Albuquerque, N.M.; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Colorado.

McCullouch remains in federal custody pending a detention hearing Jan. 24 in U.S. Magistrate Judge Anne T. Burton's court. If convicted, he faces a maximum punishment of life in federal prison.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the El Paso Police Department Gang Unit assisted HSI and the FBI throughout this investigation.

Folk Nation/Gangster Disciples members Kiry Hakeem Nalls and Grant Rutledge, both 24, were indicted in July 2013 on forced prostitution charges. Nalls and Rutlege also face up to life imprisonment upon conviction. Their trial is set for March 3 in federal court.

The ACTeam is part of a nationwide initiative aimed at coordinating federal criminal investigations, prosecutions of human trafficking violations and consolidating victim services. ACTeam includes the U.S. Attorney's Office, HSI, FBI and the Department of Labor.

El Paso operates one of six pilot ACTeams in the nation. The other pilots are in Atlanta, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Memphis and Miami.

Human trafficking includes sex and labor trafficking offenses.

"HSI's participation in ACTeam goes hand-in-hand with its commitment to identify and investigate human trafficking threats, as well as protect victims' rights and bring traffickers to justice," said Dennis A. Ulrich, special agent in charge of HSI El Paso. "We will continue to work tirelessly with our law enforcement partners to dismantle human trafficking networks in our community."

An indictment is merely a charge and should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Rifian Newaz and Robert Almonte, Western District of Texas, are prosecuting these cases.

  13. CARSON CITY, Nev., April 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Prostitutes at Dennis Hof's world famous "Moonlite Bunny Ranch" legal brothel in Carson City, Nevada are banding together to announce their support of the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign.

Following Clinton's formal announcement, the sex workers launched their "Hookers For Hillary" initiative, drafting a four-point platform to explain their endorsement:

    *Protecting Health Care Reform

Hillary Clinton, as part of her husband's administration, envisioned health care reform in the 1990's, long before President Obama was able to sign it into law. The Affordable Health Care Act made health insurance available for the first time ever to the 500 independent contractors employed by Dennis Hof. With any Republican nominee likely to work for its' repeal, the Bunnies want to protect the quality health coverage that they now enjoy.

    *Foreign Policy Experience

As Secretary Of State, Hillary Clinton gained invaluable experience negotiating with foreign leaders, and the Bunnies can definitely relate to negotiating through a language barrier. The Bunny Ranch entertains customers from all around the globe, and the girls have great respect for any woman who can take powerful men from oppressive cultures and make them bend to her will. With her eye on the international landscape, the Bunnies are confident that President Hillary Clinton would also avoid a repeat of the Secret Service's Colombian prostitution scandal by making sure that her detail "buys American."

*Support for Agencies To Protect The Public's Health

Nevada's mandatory testing of legal prostitutes for sexually transmitted diseases is a successful example of effective government regulation. While Republican candidates have questioned the need for agencies like Health and Human Services (HHS) & the Food And Drug Administration (FDA), the Bunnies applaud Hillary's recognition of the fact that responsible government oversight is a key to protecting the public's health from widespread disease.

*Prevention Of A Return To Supply-Side Economics

Bill Clinton presided over the most prosperous time in Bunny Ranch history, which coincided with a tax increase on the wealthiest Americans such as brothel owner Dennis Hof. The Bunnies recognize that thriving economies are built from the bottom up, where the vast majority of their clients originate. A return to relying on the disproven theory of trickle-down economics would only serve to exclude the vast majority of hard-working Bunny Ranch clients from having the discretionary income to enjoy with their favorite Bunny.

A new study has found that the impotence drug Viagra could ramp up the sex lives of women who take it, just as it has done for men.

The 12-week study focused on 202 post-menopausal or post-hysterectomy women who complained of female sexual arousal disorder. The women in the group who took Sildenafil — the little blue pill commonly known as Viagra — took notes after each sexual experience, and reported better overall sexual satisfaction compared with those who took a placebo.

Their enhanced sex lives included better arousal, lubrication and orgasm.

The study was conducted by Laura Berman, director of the Berman Center and a professor of OB-GYN and psychiatry at Northwestern University in Chicago, and Dr. Jennifer Berman, director of the Female Sexual Medicine Center at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. The researchers say that the results are preliminary.

"In terms of ability to achieve orgasm, there was a statistically significant movement," Laura Berman said on ABCNEWS' Good Morning America.

"It increases blood flow to the genital area, increases the sensation of warmth, tingling and fullness," she said.

More than 50 million women experience some type of sexual dysfunction.

Jennifer Berman said it's important for women to remember that this pill can't overcome mental and emotional barriers to a satisfying sex life.

"At this point, we can say that women with significant emotional or relationship problems and women that have desire problems related to their interest in being sexual might not be the best candidates," Jennifer Berman said. "It's for women who were satisfied with their sexual response at one point and now, for whatever medical reason, are no longer able to respond," she said.

    Increased Blood Flow Theory

Women who suffer from female sexual arousal disorder can experience a variety of symptoms, including lack of "excitement," vaginal dryness, loss of sensation and sensitivity in the genitals and nipples and low blood flow to the genitals. Women in the study were screened to make sure that psychological or relationship issues were not the cause of the problem.

Since Viagra enhances sexual arousal in men by increasing the blood flow to the penis, the Bermans theorized that the drug could have a similar effect on women, increasing the blood flow to the female genitals and thereby producing better arousal, sensation and lubrication in the genital area.

Women in the study were given doses of 50 milligrams, which was increased to 100 milligrams only once during the study based on how well the lower dose was working, and the women's tolerance to it. The pill was to be taken prior to sexual activity but no more than once daily.

Each patient had to engage in sexual activity at least once a week and keep a personal log about it. During the course of the study, neither the patients nor the doctors knew which patients were receiving the Viagra. Women taking Viagra reported mild to moderate side effects, including headache, flushing, nausea, and vision symptoms — the same side effects reported by men who take the drug.

Report: Teacher who asked students to take selfies with parents' sex toys on leave
News Staff, NBC Bay Area 10:14 a.m. EDT June 7, 2015
SAN FRANSISCO — A Bay Area teacher is on leave after he reportedly asked students to find their parents' sex toys then text him selfies with them for extra credit.

The Alameda Unified School District is now investigating the claim against the Encinal High School teacher.

Students say the popular geometry teacher was just joking, but parents aren't laughing.

The school district released a statement that said, in part, "The safety of students, families and staff is of great importance to all of us, and district staff are now taking steps to address this situation in the ways we are legally required."

  33. Well that's a really interesting one, thanks for showing us! XOXO
