Animals make great friends whether it’s a fish, cat, etc... I’d like you all to meet my princess!!!



Just got My princess, she is only four months old! She’s getting used to her new home and is loving it!!




If you have suggestions on training dogs feel free to give me some pointers ​

 

She loves going to the river !

 

Here's a couple of training tips that you may already know, but...
1. Always use positive reinforcement for training any new behavior.
2. Always give lavish praise when she does something well.
3. Always provide a little play time at the end of a training session to end on a positive note.
4. Limit training sessions to 20 minutes or less.

There's nothing like coming home to a cold wet nose!

Oh she’s simply adorable and I wish I was closer so I could play with her

 

I'm not a dog person (cats are my thing) but I can still appreciate the sloppy puppy love of others' canines. Since a pet is a lifetime commitment, you'll probably have her upwards of 15 years. 15 years of the most unconditional love anyone can get. Humans have agendas. Pets only know love. So love them back. Cherish every moment. Take pictures and videos. Play with them. Care for them in everything you do. Your pets are family. Treat them as such.

Just got done hiking with my pup this morning she loves water !

 

She loves hikes to Tahoe she was worn out from running around, look how cute she is !

Never change the tone of voice, a lot of patience, no treats, praise works better. Stick with a routine, never tolerate bad behavior. Don't hit with flat hand, I lighty smack my brothers dog, REPEAT very lightly. If pulling the harness don't work, after several warnings, then the dog gets lightly hit. It us all works, but nobody watching he does it again. I lost count how many time I had to tell my brothers dog NO, You can't remove the retrieving instinct, so be careful around water, fires, wild animals. I seen a dog almost jump into a fire for a stick. I knew better not to trust my brothers dog.

 

Always keep the harness or dog color on when going outside. I seen dogs go outside and nobody let the dog out. I have a 50 foot rope I use for a leash for my brothers dog, it a allows room to roam, with me not getting into trees, bushes, etc. I can keep the leash short as needed or allow 50 feet of distance , so I don't get tripped up, or when he decides to take off chasing animals, I don't have to worry about losing my grip on the leash. A German Sheppard can go from 0 to 30 mph in a very short period of time. Try and hold on to a dog leash with that canine speed.

Thank you so much on all the helpful tips!! Yes I’ve had to tell her no many times. I hear using a newspaper rolled up is better than a flat hand when it comes to that. I will take it all into consideration thank you again
