My Favorite video games as a kid was SPYRO THE PURPLE DRAGON! It's one of the only games that I was actually good at, besides SUPER MARIO BROTHERS lol.
I was one of those guys that hung around the arcade with a pocket full of quarters back in the day...
I know it was featured in the Ready Player One movie, but adventure on Atari was actually a great game. The original adventure text game was also one of my favorites. (Of course I imagine the sound of crickets as every realizes that I have been around since before graphics existed).
For me it's streets of rage series, tmnt arcade games, street fighter, marvel fighting games and side scrolling beat em ups
I love video games even now and I loved so many as chchild but for some reason bubble bobble sticks in my head for childhood favorites.
Growing up we had Intellivison and I enjoyed their football and baseball games because you could do 1 player vs the game and their version of Pac man was called Lock n Chase.
Super Contra on the NES. Our neighbor had Contra but when my younger brother and I got Super C for Christmas, it was on!!!
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was awesome. I'm actually looking forward to the new Sonic movie with Jim Carrey.
Tetris. I even beat the game once and saw the whole castle take off like a rocket. That was pretty cool.
