Rush Drummer.

Rush drummer , Neil Peart. Passed away early this week. As we learned today. He was battling brain cancer , for the past 3 years. He was 67 years old.. May he Rest In Peace....

 

@JamieNox and I were talking about how he inspired her drumming style. So sad.

 

My first instrument since age 2 until a shoulder injury in college was drums. Neil inspired me to compose pieces for trap kit. He's been one of my favorite drummers my whole life. Favorite song is Red Barchetta. I'm sad today too.

 

Don't forget, he was also the main lyricist for the band. Amazing! Very talented, and seemed like such a nice guy too.

First concert I ever attended was KISS for the Alive Tour in '75, and Rush opened for them They could Rock and did for many years! RIP Neil

 

That would've been an amazing show. RIP Neil

 

All I know is that YYZ had better be playing YYZ non-stop.
