I was looking for a "believable" first name, particularly in case it were to be used outside of the ranch on outdates; when Amelia popped into my mind, I looked up the meaning ("hard working" or "industrious"), and I really liked it. For the last name, I was looking for something that described me in some way, too. A few ideas came to mind, but it wasn't until about two days later that Heart came up. I liked the idea of expressing caring, compassion, and authenticity. The funny thing is, it wasn't until I started using them together and introducing myself that everyone began to say, "Like Amelia Earhart?" I was the last one to recognize the similarity. Go figure!
I always thought it had to do with flying around the world, but I like your original reasoning. It fits you.
Funny, the things we dont see til they are pointed out! ...at risk of repitition, I dont remember how I came up with Sage and if it really was because of Sagebrush?
So mine is a little convulted, too, @MisterMacWaffle . I follow this account on Instagram called DaddyIssues. It is HILARIOUS - she has the same bittersweet sense of humor I do -- poking fun at things that aren't always funny with dry yet true humor. The owner of the account's actual name is Violet, which is classy yet slightly more unusual than Jane (no offense to any Janes!!). I also thought it ironic that the account is called "daddy issues" and it would be my hooker name. I love little ironies like that!!! I think its hysterical haha. The sage part, I honestly don't remember how it came to mind. However I do love the flow and sound of "Violet Sage". Both are plants, yes? haha Very much love this thread and learning about everyone's thought processes!!
And here I thought you had violet eyes like Elizabeth Taylor Guess I'm the only one who uses eye color in their name
oh I luv your question...yeah can you believe it even those of use that have a stage name still end up having nicknames for each other
It's a play on words for the famous quote from Full Metal Jacket and also an acrostic for the word lust.
One day I decided to become an exotic dancer, not knowing stage names were required... I was filling out my paperwork at the club in Baltimore, MD and I was talking to the bartender. I told him I was stumped on my name, wasn't sure what would fit me. I had my hair up in a pony tail and had cherries tattooed on the back of my neck, so he said "let's call you cherry!" I loved it and couldn't disagree, so as I became known at the club, regulars began calling me CHERRY BOMB! Which I thought was so cute... they said I was sweet with an explosive personality and needless to say other ASS-ets! When I decided to apply at Bunny Ranch and leave the East coast for the West coast... I then became Cherry Lane. I wanted to distinguish myself a bit from my previous dancing career, but not totally. So I kept Cherry and added a little bit of class to it, lol So, then I picked Lane to follow Cherry and now I couldn't be more proud to be Cherry Lane at Love Ranch North.
Coincedentally, the first half comes from my love of surfing actually. Once I picked it up, I never got tired of it and still love it to this day and the second half comes from my birth year.
Thank you to the following ladies who shared how they picked their stage name: Audrey Noelle Roxy Gold Casey Cross Desert Rose Betty Boobs Veronica Holiday Asia Doll Colette Wingtouched Ruby Rae Cumisha Amado Amelia Heart Violet Sage Cherry Lane Any other ladies and/or board members feel free to share how you picked your stage name and/or board name.
There was a thread on how to create a porn star name: Your first childood pet + the street you grew up on Mickey + St. James Some ladies liked it better than the name I was using and insisted I switch to it.
Had a Running Back that us linemen used to block for always bitched when we were getting our ass beat We'd say to him, "We would be winning if you weren't so fumble-nuts on the field." Always chuckle now thinking about it
Hmmm, and I thought you were just communicating that you were the zaniest Irish girl in the cul-de-sac.
My ancestry is 100 % Italian. Back when I joined the Bunny Board; I rode a custom Harley Trike. Now I ride a Harley Sidecar Rig.
I'm kinda interested in your choosing you last part of your name, as we both have that name in common.
When I took Spanish classes in Jr./High School, the teachers said my name translated to Beloved. Years later some Mexican people I used to work with said it was a type of love of places or things. A Japanese girl once giggled & said it meant a Commode.
